Rod’s Bio:
Empowered, passionate and inspiring! Mr. Scotland has more than 18 years of experience in the Voice and Data Communications industry. Rod emerged from a start up consulting organization where he developed a skill set for Telecommunications applied with Data Networking. Rod then spent the next portion of his career working with Digital Equipment Corporation, (DEC), as a Communications design specialist, where Rod developed a focus in technical engineering while providing enterprise solutions to fortune 1000 companies.

In early 1996, Rod’s passion to deliver complete enterprise solutions, led him to join Lucent Technologies with the responsibility and focus as a Convergence Systems Engineer. While demonstrating the knowledge required in converging “New World” communications with the “Traditional” Voice foundations, Rod joined the World’s leading Networking Unified Communications Company – Cisco Systems Inc. Now in his 10th year at Cisco, Rod has spent the majority of his Cisco career within the Engineering side of Cisco however; Rod has transitioned into a practice lead role of Unified Solutions Specialist. Rod represents technical depth while combining business relevance and business transformation strategies when considering and implementing Cisco’s Unified Communications Solutions.
